Childhood Cancer—two words that should never be spoken in the same breath! The rates of childhood cancers (from infancy to 19) have risen every year for the past decade. Worldwide, a child is diagnosed with cancer Every Two Minutes – that is 300,000 kids every year! This is not acceptable. In the U.S. more children die of cancer than any other disease and an estimated 16,000 children will be diagnosed just this year. While treatment outcomes for children with cancer have made tremendous improvements over the past 50 years, the reality is, while still considered rare, one in five children with cancer will still die of their disease within five years. Cancer is the leading cause of childhood death in America Children’s Lives Depend on our Support.
