With your generous help, our LAFD/LAPD St. Baldrick’s Fundraiser has raised over $1.2 million for this important cause, and in the past Los Angeles firefighters and police officers have shaved their heads together with the community in solidarity.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected charities such as St. Baldrick's that rely heavily on in-person events where a majority of their fundraising is raised, and we had to cancel our event last year in 2020.
However, childhood cancer did not take a pause during the pandemic and neither should the efforts to find a cure. This year in 2021 we are proud to announce our "SHARE YOUR SHAVE" virtual event where we can still make a positive impact in this fight! You can again support advancing childhood cancer research by registering and fundraising here online, but this year we are encouraging participants to select a convenient date by April 30th to shave on their own and then take a video to share online with their social media and the event's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LAFDLAPDSTBALDRICKSEVENT
Shavees who fundraise over $50 will receive an event t-shirt (with the exception of Core Committee Members and minors) which St. Baldrick's is planning to mail out. To join you in this important cause, Los Angeles Fire Chief Ralph Terrazas and Police Chief Michel Moore will be shaving our heads on April 15th and we will be also be posting our video as well!
Let's fight childhood cancer together
and save a life today!
