This is my fourth year that I will be shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research on April 2, 2021. Due to COVID19, I will be doing a virtual shave again this year on my deck. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Due to the underfunding they use a lot of adult treatments and even at a higher dosage for they say that the children have stronger bodies. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Each year has been special to raise money for childhood cancer but this year it is closer to my heart for my granddaughter, Philomena (Mia), age 7, was diagnosed with cancer, Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS), in December 2019, when she was still 5 years old.
