I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head and yes all my hair will be coming off!  I'm so excited to be do this with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids.

Now I need your support!  This is going to be my first head shave with St. Baldrick's and I'm honored to be a part of this event.   This also is going to be a new experience for me and yes I'm a little nervous.  But when I think of the sacrifices these kids with cancers and there families are making.  It turns all my nervous feeling into excitement.  When I was researching how to participate in a St. Baldrick's event.  The first participation I was looking at was cutting my ponytail.  I thought to myself this will not be to bad they will take a few inches of my hair and it will just grow back.  Then I said no! No way!  These Kids fighting cancers are not fighting this half way they are all in for success!  So I though I'm going all in also!  So Yes I'm going to be Bald!  I have never been Bald before this will be a first.  I still can't get over the idea that I will not have to prep my hair in the morning.  But I know when I go to sit in that Barber Chair I will be sharing strength with all the kids and there family flighting kids cancer.  So I'm so excited to share strength tough this event.  When the Barber takes that razor and starts to shave my hair I will find  strength in that to share with the Kids that are fighting.  So now you know why I'm doing this shave.  In conclusion first I was thinking cutting my ponytail would be an easy way to help and yes it would. But I'm so excited to be going all in!  I can't weight till they run that razor over all my head and cut off all my hair.  So now it's your part.   Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
