My Story

My name is Ashlyn Hope. I was diagnosed with cancer on May 15, 2020. I was misdiagnosed and received the wrong chemotherapy for 6 weeks before scans and surgery revealed that the treatment hadn’t worked, the tumors had grown. On July 1, 2020, I received the diagnosis of Stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma. Over the next few months I spent lots of time in the hospital.  I received 6 rounds of chemo, another surgery where they removed most of the tumor except the rim which was attached to the aorta.  They also removed my kidney and adrenal gland.  I had 14 radiation treatments and am now receiving immunotherapy treatment. I’m currently NED, but I am in active treatment to prevent the cancer from returning. Please follow my journey as I fight the battle against cancer. You can follow HopeforAshlynHope on Facebook and Instagram.   Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
