I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: St. Martin's Team

My brother Ethan Toohey passed away from a rare cancer in September 2011. Ethan was diagnosed in 2006 at the age of 10 and at the time we were told, with treatment, Ethan had a year and a half to live.  But Ethan participated in a surgical clinical trial that resulted in removing 95% of his tumors. Another clinical trial medication gave Ethan 14 months of side effect free treatment. Although it was a difficult time, research gave me 5 and a half more years of time with my brother.  During that time Ethan had the opportunity to go to school, hang out with friends, and play video games and do other stupid fun things with me and my sister Juliana. Our family enjoyed five years of shore vacations, family movie pizza nights and birthday and holiday celebrations.  Research helped Ethan enjoy his childhood as much as possible.

Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
