Back in December, members from the Districts “A“ Crew decided to participate in the St. Baldrick’s battle of the badges. I am glad to be apart of the crew raising money in an effort to beat cancer. Battle of the badges pits Firefighters vs Police Officers to raise money to fight cancer. We all have had very short hair cuts for a long time, so shaving our heads wouldn’t be out of the norm. However, we have decided to let our hair grow out till May 2, which is very much out of the norm for us. I have had a crew cut since I started my career in the fire service.
We all have agreed not to cut or trim our hair till the shave date. It appears I have more grey hair than thought, my bed head is not a good sight to see and started twirling my hair as if I was back in high school.
If you would like to help out a wonder cause, I would greatly appreciate it. St. Baldrick's raises money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U. S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids. Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let's #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
