I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Friends On Wednesday June 3, I will once again be participating in the IHS Markit shave to raise money for the St Baldrick’s Foundation which has raised over $282 million in pediatric cancer research grant funding since 2005. I first shaved for St Baldrick’s in 2009 and since then have shaved 9 times in Tokyo, Hong Kong, London and New York. IHS Markit has been one of the Foundation’s largest fund raisers and since first participating in 2007, over 2,100 colleagues have raised $4,201,435 over 250 events. Kids with cancer often lose their hair during treatment and shaving my head is one small way I can stand in solidarity with these brave souls. It is one of the opportunities I have in a year to support those who are less fortunate than me. I am blessed with two healthy children and thinking about my life with them gives me some perspective into how devastating pediatric cancer must be to a family. It only takes two minutes, but any contributions you make could save lives. For donation, simply access to this link below: https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/Shane2020 Thank you for your support and encouragement especially in these challenging times Shane
