I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

In 1982 I was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia at the age of 6.  I AM a survivor, but I will always continue to fight.  In the 30+ years since my diagnosis, I've experienced many long-term side effects of the radiation I received in 1982, including  benign brain tumors.  As a kid it became my mission to do what I could so that, "...maybe other kids wouldn't have to go through what I am...".  That's still my mission today as I continue to fight not only my own battle, but the battles of those who no longer can fight their own.  Treatment of childhood cancer has come a LONG way since 1982...but we still have a long way to go.

Help me to bring childhood cancer awareness, research and treatment to the attention of others.  I'm volunteering and raising money with St. Baldrick's to help kids with cancer! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’m fundraising for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids.

Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
