If you don't know who my great niece Autumn is, you are missing out. Autumn is a 4 1/2 year old girl who has been battling a rare form of cancer for 3 1/2 years now. That means this year in June when she turns 5 years old, she will have celebrated 4 birthdays while in treatment. She has seen more dead end roads than a lost traveler. Why you ask? her tumor is rare and the answers aren't there yet. This year I am shaving my head for her and all the other children fighting this fight. Cancer is trying to steal her childhood and we as a family stand together to make sure that doesn't happen. This is the year that Autumn will beat cancer. That is why this is the year I will shave my head. to honor her, to stand with her, to fight with her, and most importantly to win with her.
I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U. S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids. Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let's #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
