I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids.

Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.

This is my second time donating my hair to Wigs for Kids and raising money for the St Baldrick's Foundation.  In 2015 I donated 14 inches of hair and raised $1129.  This year I have a few more inches than that to donate.  Now that we're a little older and more financially stable, I'm hoping that we can dig deeper into our pockets.

I started donating in support of two of my best friends/brothers who lost both of their parents to cancer between 1998 and 2009.  They donate their hair as often as possible.  I figure I can do the same.

Now that I've lost both of my parents within a couple of years, I feel for them even more.  Shit, I just started crying while typing this.  While they didn't lose their lives to cancer, my mother had early onset dementia and my father succumbed to Alzheimer's, which is just as terrifying.  If you wish to also donate to the Alzheimer's Association in their names, Col. Joseph Darlak MD and Gloria Darlak, that would be twice as amazing.  https://act.alz.org/site/Donation2?df_id=32112&32112.donation=form1&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paidsearch&utm_campaign=google_giving&set.custom.wt=giving&gclid=Cj0KCQiAmsrxBRDaARIsANyiD1q8W1ThiYsyAABL162hpqn0W3snAUD9DrTrX0twx6iWPXbkPi5-0Z4aAm3rEALw_wcB

It's easy to ignore these horrible diseases, until it punches you in the face/gut/heart.  Please help me to make a difference.  I don't know what else to say.  I'm also having trouble seeing the screen as the tears keep flowing.

I love you guys.

Thanks.
