I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Aidan's Army

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Many of you know my intimate relationship with childhood cancer. For those of you who don't, my story began over 8 years ago. I woke up, kissed my wife and child goodbye and went to work like I had so many times before. The remainder of that day was anything but routine and my life was turned on its head when a physician walked into the treatment room of a hospital and said the words "your son has cancer". I will never forget the look of consternation on her face as she walked into the room and introduced herself as an oncologist. Having a medical background, I put 2 and 2 together before the words even left her mouth and I broke down into tears. The feeling of utter helplessness that accompanied the next 5 months are indescribable. My beautiful baby boy, Aidan, lost his Earthly battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia before ever reaching his 1st birthday and a large part of me died with him that day. Not one more parent should have to bury their child because of this terrible disease.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
