I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Alpha Phi Omega

When I was 15, I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor and a Chiara malformation. I needed two brain surgeries to fix those issues. I went through a lot of tough things during that time, but one event stands out. I went to a barber to shave my head bald prior to the first surgery. It was when the first patch of my hair came off that I understood how serious everything was. I haven't had my hair short since those operations because I didn't want to see what the scarring underneath looked like. But learning about St. Baldrick's made me realize that my scars aren't something bad, they're proof that I survived. That's why I've decided to shave my head for St. Baldrick's with my organization, APO.
