I really don't remember how many years I've been doing this (I think this is the 5th year) but this year has been one of the busiest in my life with a growing two year old son and so it's also been the toughest to get this page going to fundraise for the event.
I was on the verge of saying maybe I'll skip this year and I'll do it next year instead but then I told myself that it's never too late to donate and contribute, it's never too late to do something, every little bit helps. Doing something two weeks before the St. Baldrick's event in April is better than doing nothing at all. And so here I am.
I choose to do this to help with research for cures for childhood cancers so that families can be spending their days worrying about getting their children to school (sometimes on time) and then getting them to bed (even if it means falling asleep next to them) instead of going through the worries that a family that has a child with cancer has to go through everyday.
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least three years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.
