I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Fight Like A Girl

Here we are again, officially five years since joining the Momma's! Once again, I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Taylor is officially a long term surviver, she's three years off treatment and thriving! She is still checked twice a year with extensive blood work and imaging, to make sure she's firmly in remission. She still stuffers from the after effects of chemotherapy and the PTSD from cancer. She's still riddled with migraines and other afflictions that we prefer to keep private. And Taylor is one of the lucky kids. Taylor's cancer or chemotherapy didn't kill her, but so many of our friends haven't been that lucky. I've held so many of my Momma friends in my arms, the weight of their child loss heavy against my chest. I've texted too many of them deep into the night as they bare their most frightening reality. This is senseless. This needs to end. And you can be the one who helps make that possible. Funding. Funding for research is the cure. Please support our quest for the cure, so another child doesn't miss their first step, first snowfall, or first dance. Please don't let another parent cry on the floor of the ICU while their child sleeps fitfully with poison coursing through their tired veins. Please donate whatever you can. Small numbers in large groups make an incredible difference.
