I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

After several years of dithering, I'm finally going to do it. I'm having my head shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research.

I'm motivated by my own experience with cancer (I know, I'm not a child... but still), and also by Ashley W. She and her family take care of my dogs in their home when Jeff and I are out of town. If you know Gio, you know that anyone who can handle him is a special person! See  below for Ashley's triumphant story and for hilarious pics of her brother Scotty's 2018 shave.

I'd also like to honor my dear friend Cheryl, who has won a ferocious battle with lymphoma. And I send love to my beautiful young cousin Hannah, who is recovering from surgery for colon cancer.

I don't typically like asking for money, but this is such an important cause that I'm going to get over my trepidation. Would you be willing to donate? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Thank you so much.

We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
