I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hi, everyone! I'm participating in St. Baldricks for my 7th year, and I could not be more excited. This has always been something I have enjoyed being a part of. St. Baldricks provides the perfect opportunity to help put an end to one of the major crises in our country, and shaving my head is always fun!

I participate in this in honor of my Papa Larry, who died of cancer when I was seven years old. Even though I was young, this still had a major impact on me, and I sensed that something needed to be done.

Now, I want you to think of one person you know who has been directly affected by cancer. I bet every one of you can name someone, and that is not a good thing. That shows just how big of an issue cancer really is. But it doesn't have to be this way. Everyone who donates is making a huge difference not just in our community, but all over the world. Even a donation of as little as $10 can save lives.

I want you to think of that loved one again, and imagine. Imagine them not having to worry about cancer ever again. Imagine them not having to stay in a hospital, and not having to go through all the chemo and other medications. Imagine them being able to go to school or work again. And imagine, all along the way, it was you who helped them get to that point.

Love, Braedon
