I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Team Lindsey
My name is Ben Ledwon, and I'm a freshman at the University of San Diego. I am proud to say this is my twelfth straight year shaving for St. Baldrick's, and I shave my head every year for many reasons. I shave because I want to help find a cure for children's cancer. I shave because it's a pretty cheap haircut. But above all, I shave because my sister was one of the unfortunate ones diagnosed with pediatric cancer in 2004. She passed away in 2008. After all her years of battling cancer, shaving my head is the very least I could do.
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least ten years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
