I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

In memory of my late mother-in-law, Paula Marie Kupson Atfield, my friend and co-worker Lyndie Schuckert and I will be shaving our heads to support Lakewood High School & St. Baldrick's in their fight against childhood cancer. My mother-in-law died of brain cancer when she was only 49. She was an amazing woman. Since I myself turned 49 this year, I wanted to honor her life and memory by helping others. Last year when I donated, the website showed a photo of a child who had the same kind of brain tumor my mother-in-law had, and it was at that point that I decided, I was going to do this...(if the opportunity arose this year, which it did, YIKES!) So please join me in the fight against childhood cancer and consider donating to this important cause.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

I’ve reached my goal of $1,000.00, and then some, so I’m upping the ante and raising my goal to $2000.00!

Thank you to everyone for supporting me and for all your donations.

I am so grateful!
