I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids.

Personal Statment


As many of you know I am losing my hair which however disappointing this reality is to me I thought why not use a negative in my life to create hope in others? As a 19-year-old man losing your hair is a challenging difficulty to overcome but with simple self-reflection, I realized that a bald head could represent something much worse than bad genetics. I understood at that moment I should use this situation to make the world a little happier place. I am shaving my head to raise awareness and to raise funds for kids that must shave theirs while they are in the midst of the fight of their life. Instead of feeling embarrassed I take pride as I mirror the bravest among us. I would deeply appreciate any donation you feel lead to give and I know the children who receive your support will truly gain more strength.
