I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

A lot of people told me that if I shaved my head this year, they would be super mad at me, or "No don't do it your hair is so pretty!".

But that's the point isn't it? Currently, beauty is so ill defined for us, and especially for girls and women- the message is if you don't have long, straight beautiful hair, you aren't beautiful. That needs to change. We need to change the messages that are sent to little girls about beauty. We need to make it acceptable for girls to have short hair, long hair, whatever they want, and still know they are beautiful.

That is why I'm doing this. For all the girls in the world who don't have a choice, who are bald, or have short hair, I am making this statement: Bald IS beautiful.

If you agree with that statement, support me this year in my mission for St. Baldrick's. Donate anything- a few cents, a dollar, a few dollars- any amount helps.

Thank you for your help! Make bald beautiful!
