I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Unicorn Heroes

I will getting married on June 7th but I still want to help raise money for this great cause for a fourth straight year. Instead of shaving my head, I am growing out a beard to shave. Although childhood cancer is much rarer than adult cancer, when cancer takes the lives of children, they lose an average of 71 years of life. This year I am honoring another Michael F. who was diagnosed at age 4 with acute lymphoblastic leukemia because his story brings home for me the reality that cancer can strike any of us. The money you donate will enable the volunteer-driven St. Baldrick's Foundation to continue to fund more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. A funding gap exists however. At St. Baldrick's alone, of the $33 million needed to fund every grant application that received an excellent score in June 2012, only $23 million was available and granted. Help fill this funding gap by donating what you would pay for a regular haircut and then ask your friends to do the same. Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail. Thank you!
