I've always wanted to "Brave The Shave" but was always too afraid to do it. A friend of mine invited me out to support him and of course I said YES!!! The more I thought about it, the more I wondered... what's stopping me from doing this myself? Why have I been afraid to do this all these years? Why am I so attached to my hair? That's all it is.... just hair.
This particular friend is was one of two friends that got diagnosed with cancer days apart from each other. They have both been so brave, strong and positive throughout their diagnosis and treatments. Not once have either of them let their diagnosis stop them from living their lives. I want to show my support to them as well as all the children out there that are going through this hiccup in life. That's all it is, a pause, a moment to gather strength from within to realize they can beat anything... including cancer.
