I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

My name is Kara and I have one child - a four year old daughter named Penelope. Guess what? My child does NOT have cancer. But cancer is random and fickle. ANY child could have cancer, at any time: mine, yours, a neighbor, a friend, a family member, a perfect little stranger. Cancer is ruthless and brutal. Cancer doesn't care if you are rich, poor, tall, skinny, fat...none of these things. RIght now these littlest victims need our help to help fight off this bully of a disease. I have been growing my hair for years and I hope that by shaving my head, (and donating to Locks of Love what I can before shaving) I can take a stand against cancer and prove to children everywhere that we all can change the world - a little at a time. Please help support my decision and help show these children that they are not alone in their fight. Thank You! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail. I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
