I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Currently Without a Name

Hello! I have been raising awareness and funds since November 2009 when I decided to go for the shave and donate all of my hair to make wigs for children with cancer. With the help of family and friends I raised over $5,000.00! Since then, I have co-directed Cuts for Cancer at the University of Guelph which to date has now raised over $21,000.00, and I have spent a semester conducting research on ovarian cancer!. I have been endlessly inspired by loved ones who have been diagnosed with cancer; their strength and courage are inspiring. My goals for the future are to continue in research and ultimately enter medical school. To date I have been contributing in whatever way I can - through fundraising, co-directing and directing events, donating hair - but none of this would be possible without your help - fighting this battle cannot be done alone! With your help, we can continue to work towards generating awareness about the cause, as well as generating income to support cancer research. I invite you to take this step with me and donate any funds, time, or ideas to support childhood cancer research. We can do this! Julia
