It's that time of year! Time to lose the hair! Please come out and support the overall event on March 16th, 2025 as it is a fun day to celebrate at NYNY. If you are reading this, please take a moment and spread some love in the good old "Donate" section to help support my journey to find a cure. Anything helps.
Childhood cancer is more than just a statistic—it’s a heartbreaking reality for too many families. No child should have to face the pain of chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery before they even get a chance to experience life. And yet, thousands of children are diagnosed with cancer every year, their futures suddenly uncertain, their families thrown into a battle they never expected to fight.
I care because childhood cancer is different. Unlike many adult cancers, it isn’t linked to lifestyle choices or preventable factors. It happens suddenly, without warning, and often with no known cause. These children don’t get a choice, and their parents are left searching for hope in a system that doesn’t always prioritize pediatric research. Only a small fraction of cancer funding goes toward childhood cancers, leaving better treatments and cures out of reach for too many.
I care because I’ve seen the impact. Whether through personal experience, the story of a loved one, or simply the knowledge of what these families endure, I know that childhood cancer changes lives forever. The strength of these kids—their resilience, their courage, their will to keep fighting—is nothing short of inspiring. They shouldn’t have to be this strong. They should be playing, dreaming, and growing up without the shadow of cancer over them.
I care because awareness leads to action. The more we talk about childhood cancer, the more we can push for funding, research, and support. We can make a difference—by advocating for better treatments, supporting affected families, and refusing to accept that "rare" means "not important." Every child deserves a future, and that’s why I will always care about childhood cancer.
