I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! I remember my freshman year of high school, one of my close friends who I went on Freshman Retreat with at Assumption got leukemia. Honestly, I was petrified. For someone close to me, someone who was so positive about life, someone so radiant and making everyone's day would be given this dreadful disease. This was back in 2003! As of today in 2018, she is still with us! Still kicking! Got married, is an amazing wife. She does SO much to help kids going through cancer, as she has been there herself. She is an admiring soul. I am also doing this because SO many of the beautiful lives around me have been affected by cancer, if this is something I can do to truly help raise awareness, well then here we go :) Like my friend said, " And exactly, it's just hair, it grows back!"
