I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Shavenado

Welcome to the St. Baldrick's fight, family and friends. This is my third year being involved with this wonderful organization's mission that needs our help. As you can see from my profile picture, the past year has been an incredibly blessed year for Heidi and I. After a long, challenging struggle, we welcomed two beautiful girls Audrey and Blythe into this world. The arrival of these angels has given me new perspective in my fight to conquer children's cancer. Dealing with minimal hurdles like torticolis or plagiocephaly pale in comparison to the killers that we are raising money to eradicate. I can't imagine the strength parents maintain or their children's courage to fight when being afflicted with cancer. It is this reason that I fight to help them by growing my hair back out for a few weeks to shave it back off in order to raise money for this great cancer research fundraising organization. I also do this to honor my Dad, who passed away from stomach cancer when I was back in high school. He would have been very proud that I'm trying to help kids that can't fight this by themselves as that is how he raised me and still shapes my actions after all these years. As you see, I have risen my personal goal to make a dent in the overall goal of our event; so, I need all the help I can get. Whether you're returning or new to the fight, THANK YOU in advance for your help and support. If you are in Dallas, I would love to see you out at McFadden's Addison on April 3rd. If you get inspired and would like to start a shaving team or sponsor your own event, please let me know.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Sincerely, Ben
