I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: BALD NURSES

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: BALD NURSES

Why would I do this you ask?? I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Most of you know I'm a pediatric oncology/bone marrow transplant nurse. I'd love it if some day I was unemployed because these kids didn't have to endure the arduous treatment regimens for their cancer diagnoses. My heart breaks a little more with each new diagnosis that arrives to our unit in the middle of the night, as bleary-eyed parents realize their worst nightmare. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. In the 12 years I have been working in this field of nursing, I have seen improvements in pediatric cancer treatment that have made a real difference in survival rates, thanks to research funded by this organization. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
