While pursuing a career as a radiation therapist, I have had a chance to see what cancer can do to a child firsthand. It is a devastating thing for a family to go through.
Since becoming a new mom myself, I have found another side to me that I didn't know existed. The part of me that would fight and go to the ends of the earth to battle something that was going to take my child away from me and rob him of a life that he so deserves. This fight is one that parents are fighting every day and they are sometimes alone financially and medically in that battle. This money will go to find a cure and aide in research that could possibly be saving your own nieces, nephews, and children some day.
My 25 inches of hair will also be donated to make a wig (or two) for cancer patients. I may be a one-shavee show, but I'll be just as bald – and I hope you'll cheer me on with a donation!
The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
