On May 2, 2010 I will be shaving my head in honor of Casper Parsons, a beautiful, exuberant two year old boy, whom I've had the immense joy of nannying. Alongside his family and loved ones, I've also shared in the heartbreak of discovering that Casper has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Fortunately, Casper's prognosis is relatively optimistic, undoubtedly thanks to the incredible research that has gone into developing effective therapeutics for his type of cancer. As those closest to him brace themselves for three years of chemotherapy, however, it is clear there is still a long, tough road ahead, both for Casper and for the field of cancer research. By donating to the St. Balderick's Foundation and helping to the fund further research efforts, you have the extraordinary opportunity to help save precious young lives in the future and help lessen the suffering of countless children just like Casper.
