I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Patterson Ambulance

The "canned" message is below, but I wanted to put my personal plug in first. Many of you know that my family had the honor to help out Kodi, a 6 year old girl from Texas who was out here in San Francisco with her family, She underwent a treatment that could only be found in four hospitals in the US, and we were the only ones not buried in snow! Over the course of several weeks, we found out how little money is spent on child cancer research, compared to other diseases it's not very much. As a paramedic and educator I know how little we know about pediatric physiology and how cancer affects kids, as compared to adults.

So, it's a no-brainer to me to get my head shaved and look like a bowling bowl on top of a stick, if it will get you to donate to my team, Patterson District Ambulance and help raise money for child cancer research! Kick it for my friend Kodi, and her family Tracy, Tracy Jane and Maegan! You can read more about Kodi at her Facebook Page, Kick it for Kodi. Yup, a die hard soccer player and fan!

You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research!

In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.
