You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research!
In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.
My inspiration: I received an email back in November of 2008 from a close family friend who told us that their grand daughter Leah had been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoplastic Leukemia (ALL) she was only 4 years old. I have followed her treatment and her strength and courage have forever changed my life. She is currently in remission but will continue treatment until January of 2011. She will be 7years old when her treatment is finished. Leah and her mother are a true inspiration to me and have touched my heart and my life more than they will ever know.
