My Story

A week after we celebrated our baby's 1st birthday, we found out that Riva had Cancer. We were heart broken. She is our only child and our world revolves around her.  Riva underwent 3 surgeries, CT scans, MRI, and many blood tests. Her test results confirmed that Riva has Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. We stayed in the hospital for a week for various tests and throughout that time Riva greeted her doctors and the nurses with her big smile. We are amazed to see our baby girl laugh and play during this tough time. She has given us strength and a reason to believe that she will come out of this with flying colors. Riva will start chemotherapy soon and we hope that our baby is still able to smile and enjoy doing everything that she would normally do. Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
