I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Seven Hills

I remember watching last year as WCPD put on their first St Baldrick's Event and I knew that this was something that I wanted to get involved in. I have seen cancer hit a number of my friends and family members in the past few years, and my feelings of frustration and anger at my inability to "fix" the people I care about left me needing to do something (anything) to try and fight against cancer. St Baldrick's is giving me the chance to trade my hair for money that will go to cancer research and I am honored to do it! I see the courage of my friends who are fighting this disease, the strength of the families, friends, and communities who stand by them, and I am hopeful that a day will come when all of our efforts fighting this disease will pay off when a cure is found. I am here to raise money to fight cancer in honor of David Larson, a teacher at The Seven Hills School who is battling cancer. I am also here to raise money to fight cancer in honor of my friend Todd French, a lacrosse and football coach, who is battling Lung Cancer. I am here to raise money to fight cancer in honor of my friend Tom Cashion's daughter Madeline who is battling cancer at the age of 5. I am here to honor my grandfather Mike Lerner who is fighting Prostate Cancer, and my Uncle Bob Buganski who was taken by Pancreatic Cancer. Finally, I am here to honor of all the friends and family members of the generous people who are supporting my efforts. I am making the small sacrifice of my hair to show my sheer hatred for this disease and my great hope for the success of my friends in their fights and for a day when nobody else has to go through the same battles. Please consider donating to this worthy cause and I look forward to the event on May 10th!
