I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Balding Droogs

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Balding Droogs

Before I was five years old, cancer was already a part of my life and I had already lost my left eye to retinoblastoma. I was lucky; many kids lose much more. That’s why this will be my fifth year shaving my head with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

To honor my 5-year “shaveversary,” I’ve set a goal to raise $5,000.

St. Baldrick’s is a nonprofit that funds research into cures for childhood cancers. For the past four years, I've had the pleasure of experiencing the camaraderie and spirit of their annual head-shaving events, where men, women, and children go bald on a large stage to show solidarity with cancer patients.

Participating in these events is a way for me to support the kids and families who are facing cancer today. It has been a humbling experience, and I’m repeatedly awed by the generosity of my friends and family.

So please join me in donating to this great cause – and working toward a future when no kids have cancer.
