I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hi there! My name is Sammi and I recently shaved my head and ran a Tough Mudder at the beginning of June to raise money for childhood cancer research. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

I lost my older sister Alex to leukemia when she was just 16 and I was 14. I also shaved my head and am raising money for childhood cancer research to honor her and share her story. My sister was an incredible young woman. She never gave up and fought hard until the Lord called her home. She loved Jesus and I know she is healed and in His arms, and that I will see her again one day. Her faith through hardship continues to inspire me and others 13 years later. Her favorite Bible verse was: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. That is the way she lived her life, and I hope it encourages others to do the same. She had a heart for people, especially children, and with your help we can raise money to help kids with cancer and make my sister proud! Thank you for joining me on this journey!
