I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids.
Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. It is time to get serious about the St. Baldrick's Big Shave! This year will be my fifth year participating, something I am proud of since I once thought no one or no thing could ever get me to shave the curly red hair off my head. But now it is part of me, something I have to do. We have been so fortunate during Shannon's warrior fight against melanoma. When I look at what the medical costs have been, we are fortunate and thankful to have so much support. I have to pay it forward. I hope you will consider supporting St. Baldrick's on behalf of my bald head honoring our warrior princess in the hope that the research will make a difference in a child's life, or many children's lives. I hope they will be able to have a cancer-free life or an effective treatment as a result of the research funded by the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least seven years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.
