This will be my tenth (10th) year as a shavee and I can not Thank All of You Enough, who have supported and donated in the past on the shaving of my head for this great cause.
As the years go by, so much more of my life has been touched by cancer.
Ten years ago, it was my father-in-law, William M. Vanden Heuvel, who was the inspiration to my first shaving. He was a God sent family man who gave quietly of himself to better his family, friends, church, country and the world around him during his life time. It is in dad’s honor and memory that I shave my head for donations for an ultimate cure to the various children’s cancers that befall our youth. Dad’s leading-by-example charity of himself and his time are but a path he provided during a beautiful fulfilling life, to do good, right and better for the next. Sometimes the next doesn’t have that luxury, but maybe, just maybe that luxury is but a hair away. Dad you are loved and you are appreciated and are missed and Thank You for being you.
Matthew G., too was an extraordinary young man who was called home short of his earthly potential and clearly to benefit our heavenly kingdom and additionally it is in honor and memory of Matt that I act in betterment for the next. Matt you are loved and are missed.
