I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Bare Knuckleheads

Hi folks,

I have left the campaign alone, but we are only 10 days from the event! Daniel Maslowski has once again made a ridiculous and ridiculously generous challenge grant of matching up to $3,000 of your donations!

I have to put up a YouTube video of me reciting Green Eggs and Ham in one of the dead languages I've studied... or a close facsimile. Old Norse? Old English? Middle English?

I have to put up a YouTube video of me singing to unlock the next $1,000.

And finally, I need to create and donate a piece of art containing a dragon, sword and saying to St. Baldrick's Foundation, for them to donate as they see fit.

Needless to say, I'll have to be busy :D I can't promise to get the art done before the event, but I can get sketches, and vow to finish it.

But none of this silliness matters if I don't raise the money from other sources for him to match! So, if you can, please consider a donation of whatever size, and know that it's going to a great cause, and it's going toward unlocking even more funding.

And... I'm open to suggestions and bids on dying my hair again :D Last year, I went british racing green with a pink stripe for a whole week! That was fun, although it distracted folks at work :D

How about this, I'll dye it as soon as we raise $3,000! If we get there tonight, I'll make the appointment for tomorrow!

Color is chosen by the largest single donor.

Accent color may be chosen by the next biggest donor. If we have multiple donors over $500, you can all choose a color--up to whatever the stylist can fit on my large head.

If the dye job doesn't tickle your fancy, how about picking off the following menu of single donations:

1. Shave my head to the skin right after for $250

2. Keep my head shaved for an additional week $250

3. Shave my face $750 (listen... last time I did it, there were torches and pitchforks)

4. Shave my eyebrows $1,000

5. Let my hair grow back in as a mohawk $500

6. Shave my hair to a mohawk 3 days before the event $350 (this takes some of the drama from the shave, but that's OK)

7. Wear monastic tonsure/male pattern baldness for 3 days before the event $1,000

8. Keep my head in a buzz cut for a week longer $200 (can be stacked, if you want me to look like a tennis ball for weeks on end)

And I'm open to new challenges.

Thanks to all who donated last year, and to all of you for your patient endurance of the next week's campaign to make Dan Maslowski write a big check for children's cancer research!
