I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Back when I taught high school, I became aware of St. Baldrick’s through Patrick Elwood, a local TV anchorman. Our school coordinated a head shaving event, and I went under the clippers to join the effort so wonderfully organized by the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Aside from a free haircut, I got the opportunity to learn about the work that SBF does and about the kids that their efforts benefit. I’m asking that you kindly consider joining me to help St. Baldrick’s continue to provide funding for childhood cancer research. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. These head shaving events help to raise much needed money to continue the research toward finding cures for these devastating diseases. So, please, help me get a new hairstyle and help the kids that so desperately need us! Thank You!!

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
