I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Cure For Kylie

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Cure For Kylie

Sounds silly, right? Taking pledges to have your head shaved. This year, my reasons for participating hit really close to home. In my daughters' circle of friends, Kylie, a bright, 20 year old girl gradually got weaker, lost weight, and became sick. On November 1st of 2014, she was diagnosed with acute leukemia. Since then, she has been battling for her life. I'm very pleased in how my daughters burst into action to support their friend and raise both awareness and money to aid their friend. Much of their effort is documented in this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIJtdjZB_Po

It is nice to know that the Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation has been helping Kylie and her family. This year, I've joined the team, "Cure for Kylie", to express my desire for her and all children to be liberated from these harrowing diseases. Please join me by making a donation on my page, here on the St Baldrick's website.
P.S. My moppy hair has been growing out since last year's St Baldrick's event! I've risked fashion fall-out in the home, work, and social arenas just to make the prospect of your participation more enticing!
