I've answered the call to be a hero for the TENTH TIME!
I'm ready to rock my Knight Commander status! (I even got a St. Baldrick's tattoo and will add to it once I earn that!)
I'm going to shave my head to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
On June 4, 2010, I shaved my head for the first time in memory of two very special people... My mom, Gayle Lister, who lost her battle with AML 10 years ago, and Laiken Kenwood, who lost her battle with ALL at Children's Hospital, Los Angeles ten years ago, at the tender age of 13.
Money raised for this cause goes to CHLA (and other worthy hospitals!), to help kids win their own battles with cancer... Kids like Hazel, Fernando, and JoJo, who is cancer-free after beating AML!
Shaving my head to raise money to cure cancer was an amazing experience and I've done it eight times now (once at the finish line at the Long Beach Marathon!)... I am so excited about doing this again and leading my school's team in the fight against childhood cancers!
Please donate whatever you can (no donation is too small!) to help me find a cure for childhood cancers.
Please click the "Donate" button at the top of this page to give online, or donate by phone or mail.
Thank you so much for supporting me in the fight against children's cancers! Light and Love... x13.
