I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because with your donation “on my head,” together, we can save lives.

I remember hearing about the St. Baldrick's Foundation when I was a kid and thinking that shaving your head had to be one of the coolest ways to raise awareness for something, especially children's cancer! The idea of participating has stuck with me ever since and now the time has come!

Today, I choose to stand with cancer patients and survivors. With a shaved head not only will I have the current opportunity to raise donations for children's cancer, but I will also have a physical display that I hope will strike conversation and awareness.

Research is hope for kids with cancer, but donations to find cures have been down since 2020. Your gift will give kids hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants.

Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Will you join me in aiding cancer research?

POST-SHAVE UPDATE:

Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for everyone that has supported me through this fundraiser, whether through donations, words of encouragement, or by sharing the cause! I had no idea how much money we could raise, but I am so proud to say we've raised almost $2,000 for children's cancer research! ?

Also, being bald (yet my hair is growing quite fast) has been awesome. I have had the opportunity to talk about St. Baldrick's every single day and never have to brush my hair. It couldn't get better than this!

Finally, I am still accepting donations! Worldwide, a child is diagnosed with cancer every 2 minutes. 1 in 5 of them will not survive. Together we can conquer kid's cancer!

Thank you!
