I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

A few years ago, I made a promise to myself. To one day shave my head as a tribute to my father, who lost his battle with cancer in 2006. Initially, it was a distant goal, something I envisioned achieving far in the future. It wasn't until I heard St.Baldricks was having an event close by that I started to rethink my promise. "Perhaps I could just donate a few inches instead?" The decision to sign up filled me with nervous anticipation.

Taking a step back, I reflected on the profound reasons that led me to this point. I thought of my dad, the incredible individuals I encountered through Camp Erin and Camp Kesem, and the immense significance hair holds for children undergoing treatment and struggling to define their identity. Their challenges outweighed any concerns I had about losing my hair. And so, I made up my mind. I embraced the opportunity to shave my head!

I would be grateful to have your support! You can contribute to life-saving research by donating to my fundraising page. If donating isn't feasible for you, kindly consider sharing this page to spread the word! Together, we can make a difference in the lives of children.

Lots of love,

Molly
