I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Good, The Bald and the Ugly

Hello All,

It's that time of the year again !

Despite reaching the rank of "Squire of Hope" for my 3rd shave, I've been told that does not entitle me to a sword. That's okay, the cause is just and I'm looking for HEROES to support me again ! Please spread the word and help out if you can. No donation is too small.

The St. Baldricks Foundation is the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants, second only to the U.S. government.

 More than $253 million granted

 1,358 grants

 29 countries

The research they fund has the potential to impact every kid diagnosed with cancer.

If you can’t donate you could take the plunge and shave your head and help raise money for children’s cancer research. Over 350,000 heads shaved in the last 14 years. I know somebody out there needs a new hairdo. Joining me this year will some of my coworkers from Marathon and a classmate from High School. (Thanks Jeff) Men, women, young, old, anyone can do it. I think of how cancer has affected my family and friends and there’s no way I couldn’t do something about it. Shaving my head to help these kids is the least I could do.

Hopefully at this year’s event I’ll have a researcher talking about the work they are doing and maybe a special guest or two. Food trucks, a kids zone area and tons of raffles and some silent auctions.

Visit my page to donate any amount and possibly volunteer. “Shave the date” Saturday May the Fourth at Monroe K of C hall on Front St. Be a hero for these kids..
