I am shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research

Brave the Shave – Year 10

This March 22nd I’ll be shaving my head again for the St. Baldrick's Foundation to raise money for childhood cancer research.

This will be my 10th time “Braving the Shave.”

I first got involved because cancer touched my family when my grandmother passed away. But what really keeps me coming back are the kids. Kids are curious, loud, creative, and full of life. They deserve the chance to grow up and live the futures they dream about.

Right now, 1 in 5 children diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. will not survive, and many survivors face lifelong health challenges from treatment. Those numbers are unacceptable, and that’s why I keep showing up.

Every two years I grow my hair out and shave it off to support this cause. My hair is donated to Wigs for Kids to help children who lose their hair during treatment, and the money raised goes directly toward funding research to find better treatments and cures.

This year my goal is to raise $2,500.

If you’re able, please consider making a donation. Every dollar helps move us closer to a world where no child has to fight cancer.

Thank you for your support.
