I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Thank you to so many warm hearted, generous, kind people of Cache Vally who braved the snow and came to the yard sale today. We as a family collected over $700.00 towards childhood cancer research because of your generosity. We have been deeply touched by the response of so many. Keith and I raised approximately 30% of our goal and are still working hard to have the opportunity to shave our heads at the Rocky Mountain Dermatology, St Baldricks event on Wednesday Nov 9th at 4:00pm. Every dollar even if it's only a dollar helps us fund this important research. Your donations are appreciated, press the link below and join in the fight to find a cure for childhood cancer.
www.stbaldricks.org/participant/Marlahomer cousins child, Tyson Johnson, was diagnosed with cancer in April of this year. Its difficult to stand by and feel so helpless as I watch and read about his fight, and in the process learn about so many other cool kids who are suffering because of cancer. I encourage any one reading this to take a minute to get to know Tyson and his family by checking out the video link or reading the blog his mom Amy is writing. Its tysonsbravebattalion.blogspot.com. His dad was serving in Iraq when Tyson, one of six children, was diagnosis. You will feel inspired and grateful for the glimpse into their family and Tyson's fight. If your like me you'll feel honored to be able to do something to help, even if its just the change in your purse or wallet. Just 20-30 years ago children with childhood cancer only had about a 10% survival rate. Because of the money being raised by people like you and me these kinds of organizations, and the research they help fund, the survival rate is now 80%.

To help kids fighting cancer, I'm a volunteer with the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Please support me!

With head-shaving and other fundraising events, this volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
