My name is Jon and I am a nurse in the pediatric ICU at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. I'm shaving my head this year to honor my friend, Quinn, and to raise money for childhood cancer research (see Quinn’s profile below). Quinn and I met when we started working together during his stay in our PICU. After our first few days together I felt inspired by Quinn's drive and determination to get better and decided to join his team. Getting to know Quinn and his family has been one of the greatest joys I have experienced during my career as a nurse.
Since working together in Spring of 2018, I have been growing out my hair in hopes to have Quinn shave my head for St. Baldrick's. I also plan to donate my hair to an organization that provides wigs for children going through cancer like Quinn. Any donation you are able to make towards this cause would be deeply appreciated, but more importantly, I hope that you will share this page with your family and friends to help spread awareness regarding the amazing mission of the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Thank you!
