I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: MUSC BALDIES

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives.

Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.

Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. As a pediatric cancer researcher myself, I know that research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down.

This year, I'm taking the steps to help raise money in support of pediatric cancer research. My daughter, Amanda, participated in a St Baldrick's event when she was a 6th grader, shaving her head to raise money in support of pediatric cancer research (see timeline pictures at bottom of page)! Little did she know that only a few years later, one of her best friends, Katie (photo below), would lose her battle with cancer. Also, I'm shaving for Vinny (photo below) who lost his life to AML at the young age of 9. For Katie, Vinny, and all those that have suffered from this disease, let's join together to help end cancer, especially pediatric cancer. Will you join me in this fight?  Thank you so much!

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
